In 2022 I worked with interactive design artist Warren Handley to realise a fully sound-responsive mural artwork at Warehouse 25.

The artwork itself was created by collaging film photos of textures from the space with found 45 paper record sleeves. Together, we mapped every graphic element of the mural, and brought it to life by making it responsive to sound - each part with its own unique visual response. When playing music over the sound system, the edges of every shape stretched, vibrated and changed colour, in response to beats in the music.

It’s the first time I combined my worlds of DJing and painting, and it definitely won’t be the last.
